Learn to go beyond intellect

A yogi and his disciple [two travelling monks] walked from one village to another.Yogi would share his wisdom with the villagers, while villagers would offer them food and shelter.

One day they stopped at a village where folks harassed them and kicked them out.Disciple was surprised, as he had not seen this kind of (mis)behaviour. After rushing out of the village, yogi blessed the villagers with prosperity and safety of the entire village.Disciple was not very happy.

They both were very recieved very respectfully at the next village.People were very eager to serve them. They didn't let them leave for more than a week. After leaving this village, the yogi prayed that the village be destroyed.Disciple was now very upset.
This was obviously unfair.Disciple questioned his teacher.Yogi replied,"It's in the best interest of our planet that self centered people stay where they are.It would be nice to see wise people spread all over the world. They will carry their culture and wisdom with them. Our world will be a better place."

moral-Learn to go beyond the intellect.Look for the meaning beyond obvious.
